| new apsfilter v 6.1.1 |
Dear apsfilter customers, we had to fix our password generation routine which is used to generate passwords when using pseudo duplex printing. It failed in rare cases, where space/tab characters appeared in the key. Now we strip all non-alphanumerical characters from the password. This fix uses the od(1) command and we found out additionally, that not all flavours of Unix (i.e.: FreeBSD and possibly all other BSDs) know about a "-A" flag to the od command. All has been fixed now by using hexdump(1). Therefore I rolled the new apsfilter version 6.1.1, which fixes both now. If you don't use duplex printing or if you have a driver/printer combination that support "hardware duplex printing", then you don't need to upgrade. Otherwise please upgrade to 6.1.1. The FreeBSD port has been upgraded. Thanks for using apsfilter.
