a2ps?

message: Since I switched to the Epson 880 
a2ps and apsfilter no longer talk
to each other. lpr -Praw does
nothing. I can't find any error 
messages. I can print a text file
with "a2ps foo.txt". 

A related issue: a2ps does all 
kinds of fancy formatting. Is there
a way to get it to just print the
file one up with no headers, boxes
etc.?
