| Utility useful with apsfilter |
Below is the result of your feedback form. It was submitted by Serge Mister (cf744@ncf.ca) on Sunday, January 7, 2001 at 15:54:24 --------------------------------------------------------------------------- message: Hello, Having bought an HP 1100, I noticed that if you print several copies of a file with the -# switch of lpr, the copies are sent individually to the printer, which is relatively slow. I wrote the program printerConfig (http://www.ncf.ca/~cf744/printerConfig/) which allows a user to easily set the printer's number of copies setting, as well as other settings not easily set from lpr (resolution enhancement technology, etc.). Copies then come out at the maximum speed of the printer. The program is fairly easy to integrate with apsfilter, and allows users to make better use of their printers. Is it worth a mention of the program in your documentation? It applies to most PCL printers, and I haven't seen any similar programs around. Apsfilter is a great program; thank you very much for the work.
