pips is a 3rd party driver.
you have to look for it in the internet, get the driver sources,
read the readmes, get ghostscript sources, compile ghostscript
with pips support/driver ....

thats it.
Do it yourself or try to convince the Slackware team to create make
an enhanced gs binary ....
