You write to apsfilter current, but are running apsfilter stable
(7.0.1) ? You are confusing me.

You cite CVS version numbers of apsfilter-current.
1.5 and 1.6 are from the CVS HEAD branch = -current.
But you claim to use apsfilter 7.0.1 ...
Again strange ...
Well in apsfilter-current I don't see functional changes
between 1.5 and 1.6 of MAPPING file.

But I found a difference between apsfilter-current and
apsfilter-stable's MAPPING file. In apsfilter-stable (7.0.1)
you have 3 lines more (used wc to find that out).
A cvs diff -u -r 1.6 MAPPING in apsfilter-stables driver subdir
showed differences. Three lines are duplicate.
I'm about to roll a new release 7.0.3, if Michael is ready with
some configure cosmetics.
Just for now you can get apsfilter-STABLE by using anonymous
CVS. The webserver (support page) tells you how to do this,
actually this is a 2-command-liner.
You only have to use the correct release TAG. This is
RELENG_7 for apsfilter 7.x -stable train. In the web docu
I possibly still have an older example for 6.x ...
Then you can install the new apsfilter-stable by typing
root# ./configure
root# make install
After that
root# cd /usr/local/share/apsfilter
root# ./SETUP
