		           please mail this form to:
                             andreas@klemm.gtn.com

Whenever I type lpr tiger.ps the printer online button starts to
flash, but nothing else happens.

(5) Then please tell us something about your operating system and
    your printer:

Operating System: Slackware 7.0 Linux (2.2.13)

	apsfilter Rel.	: apsfilter-5.0.1
	Printer : Canon BJC-4000
	Mono/Color	: color
	PS-Printer	: no
	Resolution	: 360dpi

Your Full Name	: Marc Lombart
	Your e-mail addr: pumaman@sympatico.ca

(6) _One_ printer entry from your /etc/printcap file would be fine !

APS_BASEDIR:/usr/lib/apsfilter
#
#
ascii|lp1|bjc600-letter-ascii-mono|bjc600 ascii mono:\
lp|lp4|bjc600-letter-auto-color|bjc600 auto color:\
	:lp=/dev/lp0:\
	:sd=/var/spool/lpd/bjc600-letter-auto-color:\
	:lf=/var/spool/lpd/bjc600-letter-auto-color/log:\
	:af=/var/spool/lpd/bjc600-letter-auto-color/acct:\
	:if=/usr/lib/apsfilter/filter/aps-bjc600-letter-auto-color:\
	:mx#0:\
	:sh:

(8) Do you have a private and modified copy of /etc/apsfilterrc in
    your login/home directory ($HOME/.apsfilterrc) ?
	Yes

(9) The output of your file(1) command on the file that can't be printed:
    i.e. type:	file file_that_can't_be_printed
tiger.ps Poscript document conforming level 2.0 type EPS

(10) A short part of the logfile /var/spool/PrInTeR/log that indicates
an error. This logfile only contains debugging data, if you enabled
debugging as described in TROUBLESHOOTING, section 1.5.

+ eval gs -q -sDEVICE=bjc600 -rx -sPAPERSIZE=letter -dNOPAUSE -dSAFER -sOutputFile=- -
++ gs -q -sDEVICE=bjc600 -rx -sPAPERSIZE=letter -dNOPAUSE -dSAFER -sOutputFile=- -
/usr/lib/apsfilter/filter/aps-bjc600-letter-auto-color: line 1: 2553 Broken pipe cat ${APS_HEADER} -
      2554 Done(1) | eval $PRINT_PS
+ rm /tmp/aps_header.2475

(11) Mostly true on Linux Distributions:
Do you use the traditional printer spooler (lpd)
or the one that is called LPRng (line printer next generation) ?
	lpd
