FreeBSD printing problem with ASPFilter

This one should be easy.

Installed APSFilter V. 520 from ports collection on a FreeBSD 4.0 machine.
When I try to print from Netscape I get the following errors:

lpd[334]: cannot execv /usr/local/apsfilter/filter/aps-ljet4--auto-default
lpd[334]: cannot execv /usr/local/apsfilter/filter/aps-ljet4--auto-default
lpd[333]: lp: job could not be sent to remote host (cfa009ray.vdsi.net)

I have the remote printers name in host files and can print.  It has a
JetDirect card in it and the NT/95/98/2000 folks use it all the time.
