Economy or Draft Mode Printing with HP Deskjet

Does apsfilter support economy or draft printing with an HP Deskjet Model
895? (The printer is defined as a Deskjet 550 in Redhat 6.1.) To conserve
ink I wish to make draft mode the default. (This printer is attached to my
Windows 98 machine and is accessed via Samba). If this mode is supported,
how do I make it the default mode?
