printed font size

Hi there,

my problem is very simple. I need to know how to change the font size,
because the letters are too big. The width seems OK but the height doesn't. It
looks like the printer needs about 1.5 to 2 times more space for one page
than it should normaly.

My system:
Suse Linux 6.4
Epson Stylus Color 500
lpd
Ghostscript 5.50

What I tried up to now:
- Find some info on the web. But it seems like no one else ever had a
problem with too big letters.
- reading a lot of docs and howtos (nothing to find about letter size)
- Changing the resolution (that didn't affect the size at all)
- asking my friends ("Go install win...." Yes I'll send them to hell ;-)
- praying to god
- praying to hell (not really ;-)
- writing this e-mail
- hoping......not giving up.....

Well maybe you can help me.

Thanks in advance for every idea !

Bye

	Joey01
