Printer just prints raw ASCII Postscript

I succesfully installed apsfilter on my 4.1-Stable
FreeBSD box(succesfully means I got test page printed as expected(I have
seen it hundred times
so I am rather familar with tiger face :))
Afterwards trying to print something in Postscript
leads to printer spewing out just the Postscript commands that are
neccesary to produce this particular page.
Redirecting output from a2ps to some file works as expected(producing
some neat Postscript file which is pleasure to read).Printer I use is
cheap Canon
bj250 with bj200 driver and as already said with testpage it works just
fine.What could it be ?
How do we go about solving the problem ?
