apsfilter & Linux Slackware 7.1 Kernel 2.2.16

Printing via apsfilter is fine, as I would expect being a long time
apsfilter user, but I am a little confused. When I run ./SETUP I get that
a2ps cannot be found but when I do a find / -name *a2ps* I get :-
/usr/lib/apsfilter/bin/a2ps
/usr/lib/apsfilter/src/a2ps-4.2-akl
/usr/lib/apsfilter/src/a2ps-4.2-akl/a2ps.1
/usr/lib/apsfilter/src/a2ps-4.2-akl/a2ps.c
/usr/share/enscript/a2ps.hdr

What am I misunderstanding ?
