It doesn't matter...  I fixed the problem.  It turned out to be an error
with a2ps.  For some reason on freebsd the source version (from ports)
compiled
with that bug.  I used the binary package version and all is now well.

Gee thanks,  maybe you could write my company an email explaining to them
that I need to take down the print server for a little while b/c I'm
using an operating system where the printer does't 'just work'.

I'm sure they would love it.  That would give them at least a couple of
months worth of 'M$ is better than anything' ammo.

I don't remember selecting that option.  No bother.  That message does
not come up anymore now that I have the new a2ps installed for some
reason.

Hmmm...  I wasn't actually trying to report a bug.  I was trying to get my
printer working.  I think you're giving users to much credit.  Maybe to
avoid
confusion you should rename help@apsfilter.com to unhelpful@apsfilter.com.

And the log entry that I attached above?  that doesn't qualify as a log?
