What OS version and what apsfilter version please ?

What does the file command tell you ?

	file <name of file to print>

Now it would be of interest, which OS you are using.

Your OS doesn't seem to recognize the file type properly...

what shell is /bin/sh on your operating system ??
Bash ? If so, then which version ?
Maybe upgrade this ...
