If the driver is not compiled in, you have to a) get a gs binary distribution (RPM, whatever) with full driver support or b) build it newly yourself One remaining problem might be, if we speak of a gs 3rd party driver. Then you have to look, where the diffs are in the internet, patch gs sources manually and then configure and compile and install. FreeBSD ports collection contains some 3rd party drivers. There is a dialog(1) based install script which guides you through the build process.
