| Re: problems printing |
To Alf, I thank you for helping me so quickly. An hour hadn't even passed until you replied. It's people like you who make reaching out for help worthwile. Anyway, I figured out the problem soonafter. The command the script was sending to gs had -sModel=hpdj. This caused the following errors in the logfile. ? Device hpdj: Unknown model name: `hpdj'. a2ps: received signal 13: Broken pipe To remedy this, I just went into the apsfilter script and set PRINTER=hpdj_unspec That did it, but I figure that's not too clean of an approach to fix it. However, I don't know enough about lpd/unix/linux/apsfilter/maybe some other things to fix it without actually editting the script :(. Once again, thanks -Al PS... It prints at a blazingly fast speed now :D. I think I'm in love with apsfilter. I can finally stop using pdq :( PPS... Sorry I didn't enable logging and read the logfiles earlier. I hope I didn't waste too many people's time. On Mon, 13 Nov 2000, Alf C Stockton wrote: > What did your lpr command look like ?
