HPDirect + HPLaserjet (prefiler) 

Dear All,

They tricked me into buying a HPDirect, a mini-printserver that supports 
lpd printing. However, since My Laserjet4plus doesn't support PS but 
only PCL, I'm only able to print pure text. I read that I can pre-filter 
my output _before_ sending it to the "raw" printer, but I've been unable 
to make it work, and the SETUP utility is not very helpful.

Can anyone offer a practical example?
I'll be grateful...
