I just went into the apsfilterrc in the 
/var/spool/lpd/your_printer_name_here
and I believe from looking at it that you
set the margins in there. Do a text search 
in there for margin and you  will find margin
settings you can change.

Good luck to you, I haven't even been able to
get apsfilter to work at all yet.
