Hello: I'm running Linux, Slackware 7.0, kernel 2.2.13. I have a local printr hpjdeskjet 692C. The problem is that I can't make the files pass through the filters indicated whit the if option in the printcap file. I checked everything ;permissions, owners, spool dirs, the lpd daemon is running, etc, but it doesn't work. The files are sent to the spool dir whitout passing through the filter. I can run manually the filters and send the output to the printer and it works ok. What's the trouble ? Thanks. SEF -------------------------------------------------- Lic. Silvia E.
