which apsfilter version do you have ?
Please use apsfilter6 which soon will become the new stable version.

The default printer on Unix is globally the printer named "lp".
You can re-edit /etc/printcap after installation as you like.

Another user specific solution is to set PRINTER variable

sh:
	PRINTER=auto2
	export printer

csh:
	setenv PRINTER auto2
