Yes, its really irritating, and I know a user who lost lots of
hours with this as he said... The bad things was, that it was his own
fault, because he didn't follow the FreeBSD port dependencies ...

Don't know _how_ he made it .. I assume he simply kicked off the newer
and installed the older a2ps 4.3 ...

Nowthing worked, I already was giving support and then *I* was kind
of pissed of, since I started to help immediately, but got nothing
than grief ...

The only thing where the user was right was, that the apsfilter
port was not prefix clean ... But Michael already did a workaround,
which will be posted soon, we are only discussing some things, if
something like configure would be the best way to go (I don't mean
autoconf bloat, but something which does basically the same).

BTW, I also think he has the old a2ps installed and therefore
printing doesn't work ...
