Aber natuerlich:
gs 5.10
apsfilter 5.1

Ich habe das garade gemacht, aber `log' ist leer. status.lp contains:
IF filter msg - '++ gs -q -sDEVICE=cdj550 -rx -sPAPERSIZE=letter -dNOPAUSE -dSAFER -sOutputFile=- redir_gs_msg.ps -' at 2001-03-06-22:56:28.312 ## identifier=root@gbr+724 number=724 process=30727
IF filter msg - 'a2ps: received signal 13: Broken pipe' at 2001-03-06-22:56:29.815 ## identifier=root@gbr+724 number=724 process=30727
IF filter msg - '+ rm /tmp/filecRwDOo' at 2001-03-06-22:56:29.818 ## identifier=root@gbr+724 number=724 process=30727
IF filter msg - '+ rm -f /tmp/file6QhjEf' at 2001-03-06-22:56:29.822 ## identifier=root@gbr+724 number=724 process=30727
IF filter finished at 2001-03-06-22:56:29.825 ## identifier=root@gbr+724 number=724 process=30727
Irgend etwas ist los mit a2ps. Ich habe auch viele /tmp/file* dateien.
Aber, dies arbeitet wunderbar:
a2ps --columns=1 --portrait -B -o /tmp/motd.ps /etc/motd
cat /tmp/motd.ps | gs -q -sDEVICE=cdj550 -sPAPERSIZE=letter -dNOPAUSE -dSAFER -sOutputFile=/tmp/motd.oj /usr/share/apsfilter/lib/redir_gs_msg.ps -
cat /tmp/motd.oj > /dev/lp0
Ich probiere nach weiter...
Danke.
(One other question: I haven't found documentation on how to access
the Best/Normal/Fast quality modes of the printer. It always uses
Best at the moment and I'd prefer Fast or Normal for daily work. I
see PrintQuality in /usr/share/doc/gs/devices.txt.gz but don't know
what to do with it.)

[wohler@gbr:1165]$ less /usr/share/doc/apsfilter/README.Debian
apsfilter for Debian
********************
To comply with Debian Policy, apsfilter had to be made compliant
with the Filesystem Hierarchy Standard (FHS). This means that files
are placed somewhat differently:
* All invariable, architecture-independent files are located in
`/usr/share/apsfilter' instead of `/usr/lib/apsfilter'.
* Filter symbolic links are created in `/var/lib/apsfilter/filter'
instead of `/usr/lib/apsfilter/filter'.
* `SETUP.cfg' and `perf.log' are created in `/var/lib/apsfilter'
instead of `/usr/lib/apsfilter'.
* `filters_found' is created in `/var/lib/apsfilter' instead of
`/usr/lib/apsfilter/global'.
All temporary files are created securely using tempfile(1).
