Color Problem HP-690C

Hi,
I'm having a problem getting my HP-690C to print in color. 
I installed apsfilter with driver cdj690.upp
I also added:
COLOR=color
GS_FEATURES='-dBitsPerPixel=8'
to /etc/appsfilter/690C/apsfilterrc.

Still no color...just prints as light greyscale. BTW the printer works on a 
win box.
I could use some help.
