| ascii test , print options |
I can't figure out howto get ascii text to print landscape from command
line. I'm using RedHat 7.0 + LPRng.
Here are my printcap and /etc/apsfilter/~/apsfilterrc :
# APS2_BEGIN:printer2
# - don't delete start label for apsfilter printer2
# - no other printer defines between BEGIN and END LABEL
apslj5|Printer2 auto:\
:lp=:\
:rm=192.168.1.13:\
:rp=lpd:\
:if=/etc/apsfilter/basedir/bin/apsfilter:\
:sd=/var/spool/lpd/apslj5:\
:lf=/var/spool/lpd/apslj5/log:\
:af=/var/spool/lpd/apslj5/acct:\
:mx#0:\
:sh:
#
apsfilterrc:
# don't delete these settings
#
PRINTER='lj5mono'
PAPERSIZE='letter'
METHOD='ascii'
RESOLUTION='default'
#
# additional configuration follows
# insert settings as seen in /etc/apsfilter/apsfilterrc
#
To try and print landscape I've tried
lpr -C ascii -P apslj5 file
lpr -Z landscape -P apslj5 file
lpr -C ascii:landscape -P apslj5 file
plus many others.
How do I send options to the apsfilter to print landscape etc?
I;d also like to print more than 1 page per sheet. I checked
all the docs I could find, if there is a doc which answers my question let
me know where to get it...
thanks in advance
Rob
