apsfilter/acroread4 problem/fix ? only for freebsd ? 

 I had to replace       the following lines:
  print_ps  acroread4 '$ACROREAD_OPTS' \
                 -pairs '"$APS_TMPDIR/pdf"' /dev/stdout

with :
print_ps 'cat "$APS_TMPDIR/pdf"  | acroread4 $ACROREAD_OPTS'  


to get working apsfilter on a pdf file   
(freebsd 4.1 and acroread-4.05)

I think the problem is with acroread4 because 
acroread4 -toPostScript -level2 -fast -size a4 -pairs file.pdf
/dev/stdout       

doesn't produce any output on stdout !!!

Am I alone with this problem ?
