There are other tools that maybe produce better quality concerning images. Additionally apsfilter offers you to input commandline options to the lpr command, that give you more control over the final printing process ... This is impossible with a2ps alone. Read the apsfilter manual, see www.apsfilter.org and then compare the commandline options with a2ps ... Believe me, there is a significant difference ... Additionally a2ps doesn't assist you in setting up a printcap file and doesn't do remote printing to Unix printer, print server, windows and appletalk printers ....
