Excellent.
PORTNAME= a2ps
PORTVERSION= 4.13
CATEGORIES= print
MASTER_SITES= ftp://ftp.enst.fr/pub/unix/a2ps/
everything is fine up to here...
The error is so easy, that you should see it yourself ... ;-)

You have an old a2ps version installed on your system.
4.3 is too old. You need a2ps 4.13. (numerical 3 < 13 !!!)
In case you wonder, Its actually version 4.13 not 4.1.3 ;-)
Many people think 4.3 is more recent than 4.13, because they
wrongly interpret 4.13 as 4.1.3 ;-)
BTW, which Linux Distribution and Distribution Version do you use ?
We could add it to a README or FAQ.
