you have to break the problem down into pieces ... And you have to provide more infos ... What OS, what apsfilter version, what gs version. What printer driver do you use for what printer, does gs have the driver compiled in ? What happens if you execute gs on the commandline and snd the raw printer data to the parallel interface ? What does a debug/logfile tell you after enabling debugging ... Well, there are lots of things to check ... printcap problem, driver problem, gs problem ... Well we have to start somewhere and you have to provide informations ...
