Of course I will try to RTFM over again, but I am afraid
there *might* be a slight possibility that something is not
quite right in 6.1.1 , because in the meantime I have
fetched an older apsfilter 6.0.0 and it produces very nice
colors.

If you are interested in that I can reinstall 6.1.1 and test
it again.
