Printing problem LPRng and apsfilter

Hi all,
Does anyone give my any idea on how to setup a printer, so that I could
print image files to a PS printers (HP2500CM, HP4000N with JetDirect)
directly.
This are the program installed: 
- RedHat Linux 6.2
- apsfilter 6.1.1
- LPRng-3.6.26

If I use the printer defined by the apsfilter program, the lp command
send the file (i.e. BMP) directly to the printer without
filtering/converting in PS.
If I setup a printcap entry to redirect the output to a file, I see my
file converted in PS.

So how ca arrabge all togheter ?
