Yes indeed. As I can see now, I always (i.e. since September, when I bought my HP DJ990Cxi) used the cdj970-driver. It behaves as expected in 6.1.1 . I think for human beeings like me your setup-menu is a little misleading. I do not know about differrent authors. I just saw hpdj, jumped to it and selected the hpdj970C . Better would be just one single list of all printer-types. > Print using: lpr -C high:present:cmyk Actually you will see colours, but it makes a mess out of the subtractive (CMY) triangle. I think the author should change his default politics. Simple people like me will prefer their documents to be printed the way they created them. There are enough manuals to be read to create something decent with tex, gimp, StarOffice, OpenOffice, qcad, MuPAD, gnuplot, groff or whatever else. Anyway: Thanks for for your patience. Can I do some more testing, so that you can put the hpdj 990Cxi into your list? Uli. > As far as I remember you only can print color in high resolution and > presentation mode.
