To begin with, tell us what kernel, XFree, Apsfilter version and 
ghostscript versions you are using.  Without this information, 
it's really hard to make any suggestions.  Also (as someone may 
have experience with it), what kind of computer are you using, 
what is its memory, disk size and printer?  All are useful 
information.
