I got an "official" statement from the Ricoh hotline: they do not support any
UNIX operating systems any more.... The material I got with the network
card was not very useful...

This is the behavior our HP deskjet printer showed when connected to another
print server box. Perhabs you have to send a final form feed or something like
that. Our deskjet wanted a "continue" key to be pressed...
