855C prints

I finally got my printer to print, I reran the SETUP and instead of 
useing Ghostscript drivers, I used a Gimp Print Driver.  I works, except 
the color is off, and I need new ink cartidges.  Problem is though, I 
can not print pdf files.  When I do try to print pdf files, I get a 
staircase of garbage, as in this:

Thats what comes out of the printer.  Can anybody help.  Thank You.
