I understood this client/server concept well. :-) I tried numerous times to re-install hpijs in different location. Also ran ldconfig several times - due to some packages removements libs could have changed. That all didn't work. But after I rebooted _AND_ re-made and re-installed hpijs and ghostscript I was able to print again via hpijs. I don't have the faintest idea what was cleaned up by the reboot.
