I'm doing this since years with FreeBSDs native lpd on the server and Solaris, NetBSD, FreeBSD and NT (NT with lpd protocol) as clients. NT works with generic PS driver as well as with raw output. As long as the printer is conntect to a direct interface there is no problem. I can remember having problems with remote printers where the job wasn't passed to the filter, but afaik this is handled now. What I've never tried is passing arguments via lpr to apsfilter. -- B.Walter COSMO-Project http://www.cosmo-project.de ticso@cicely.de Usergroup info@cosmo-project.de
