| Again - it doesnt print for some reason |
Hello people
I realize i'm not new with my problem here, but didn't find an answer
yet. I'll try to give as much useful info as possible about it .
Situation is:
I have setup LPRng 3.8.8. Apsfilter 7.2.2.
I have successfully printed test page from Apsfilter's setup script.
I'm printing to Netware queue by nprint.
=============/usr/local/etc/apsfilter/lp/netware.conf /* lp - is the name
of my printer */
NCP_SERVER='srv1'
NCP_PRINTER='LAZER'
NCP_USER='avl'
NCP_PASSWD='*******'
=====================
============/etc/printcap
# APS1_BEGIN:printer1
# - don't delete start label for apsfilter printer1
# - no other printer defines between BEGIN and END LABEL
lp|ljet4;r=600x600;q=high;c=full;p=a4;m=auto:\
:lp=/dev/null:\
:if=/usr/local/etc/apsfilter/basedir/bin/apsfilter:\
:sd=/var/spool/lpd/lp:\
:lf=/var/spool/lpd/lp/log:\
:af=/var/spool/lpd/lp/acct:\
:mx#0:\
:sh:
# APS1_END - don't delete this
============================
==============/etc/lpr.conf
NOTHING ( I mean all entries are commented after install )
===========================
I also managed to print successfully this way:
gs -q -dNOPAUSE -dSAFER -sDEVICE=ljet4 -r600x600 -sPAPERSIZE=a4
-sOutputFile=tmpfile.ljet chess.ps
and then :
nprint -S srv1 -U avl -q LAZER tmpfile.ljet
But when I try :
cat chess.ps | lpr -Plp - it doesn't work.
