Ok; just got it installed.  No change - still not getting the pretty-printing.
My email headers with 7.2.2 are as I'd previously described.  Reinstalled
completely with 5.2.0, and they go back to the pretty-printed appearance.
And then again reinstalled 7.2.2, and no pretty-printing.

Oh - and turns out I have been using a2ps-4.13b all along.  It just
doesn't reflect the 'b' when reporting the version.

So, guess I'm still stuck.  No chance of trying out that 7.2.0, just for
the heck of it?  Or maybe there are other things I should try?
