| Configured, but errors when printing |
I'm using apsfilter 7.2.2, ghostscript afpl 7.04, hpijs 1.0.3,
samba 2.2.3a, and lprng 3.8.9.
I'm attemping to print to a HP OfficeJet 710 through Samba (the printer
is conntected to a winxp box and is shared). After setting the appropriate
settings in apsfilter (ijs 1.0, samba settings, etc), I attempt to print
a test page from apsfilter and get these errors:
unable to set key=OutputFile, value=/tmp/apsfilter28699/test_page.aps
unable to set key=Quality, value=0
[a couple dozen more of these, with different key and value settings]
followed by this being written to my screen infinitely:
unable to write to output, fd=0, count=1000: Bad file descriptor
If I attempt to save settings and use lpr, the job queues and then I can
see the same errors occuring in the status line of `lpq`.
The printcap entry that it creates is:
oj710|ijs/DESKJET_610;r=300x300;q=low;c=gray;p=letter;m=auto:\
:lp=/dev/null:\
:if=/etc/apsfilter/basedir/bin/apsfilter:\
:sd=/var/spool/lpd/oj710:\
:lf=/var/spool/lpd/oj710/log:\
:af=/var/spool/lpd/oj710/acct:\
:mx#0:\
:sh:
All of the above software was compiled from source using gcc 2.95.3
and glibc 2.2.5 on a linux 2.4 box. If anybody could offer any
suggestions, I'd GREATLY appreciate it. =)
Thanks!
