Setting up help

I have an Epson DFX5000+ printer (impact 9-pin) in my lab and I have been
trying to figure out how to get it to print a form feed after each print
job.  Until now, I was just "lpr file.txt" then I learned about "pr
file.txt | lpr", but someone told me about apsfilter and said that I
should intsall it.

So, here I am.  how do I get it to print a form feed.  I don't need any
other fancy formatting as all of the stuff I print from command line is
text.
