You mean you have been printing with wrong margins all the
time? This would be tough...

Ewww... Slackware is causing trouble constantly. But first you
should update apsfilter to 7.2.x.

I don't think a2ps has something to do with it, unless only
plain text files are affected. Applications like StarOffice,
Netscape etc. actually send PostScript to the spooler, so
we're facing a general problem here.

Why the test page prints correctly I have no idea... :)


I did some tests with the gimp-print/stp driver (device
"pcl-5") and the pcl-unprint tool, and I could influence
margins and offset with a PS_INIT file as described in
the handbook.

Try to print the "align.ps" file from the ghostscript
distribution (with "{ echo '%!'; cat align.ps; } | lpr")
and follow the instructions. Add the newly created file
via PS_INIT="/path/to/margin-file.ps" in the appropriate
apsfilterrc and hope for the best :^)
