eps graphics in latex

Hi,

I doubt if this is the correct list for my question, but I will
give it a try though.

I received Tetex with my apsfilter(7.2.2) port on FreeBSD
-STABLE.
When I include an .eps file into a latex document, I can see it
with xdvi but it will not be printed by dvips.
On the other hand the .eps file will be printed neatly via lpr .

Any ideas? - At least which mailing list I should ask?
