I'll answer a question that I posed awhile ago.

I had difficulty getting the Omni driver to compile in ghostscript, so tried different supplied drivers until I found one that works for this printer.  [Currently running FreeBSD 4.5-R, apsfilter 7.2.2].

The best driver I have found yet for this printer is "laserjet".  Ran it throught the SETUP program, and it works like charm.
