| Epson Stylus C80 |
Sirs:
I just purchased an Epson Color Stylus C80 (recommendation of
"www.linuxprinting.org"), and as my old Canon BJ200 has quit(BAD) I have
no printer capability at present, because I don't know how to SETUP
"apsfilter" properly for it.
I tried "(3)driver supported by ghostscript" but I cant find the
proper driver - then I tried "(12) Epson printer (official drivers)",
and received two error messages
1. Please install "pips-sc80s" if you
want to be able to print files of this type.
2. apsfilter fatal error: can't find
apsfilter basedir.
I'm lost, and hope someone can help.
System: Slackware 8.1 (apsfilter installed during sys.
install- v 7.2.2)
196 MB memory
1GB free disk space
350 MHZ clock
I don't mind, in fact I enjoy, fiddling with the system, and if
I could just print ASCII for a while, 'til I got the GUI printing
resolved, it would help - as is, I cant even print out "man page" notes
for reference, or any "apsfilter "READMEs".
Thanks, someone.
Dave
