problem: Using Epson stylus C80 on a gnu/debian system

Dear apsfilter-help

   I'm having some problems with installing my Epson Stylus C80 printer on 
my GNU/Debian system. I've downloaded apsfilter and went threw the 
apsfilterconfig and was unable to get the printer to work. i would put in 
all of the settings i believed would work. it's on the /dev/lp0, i place the 
stp/escp2-c80 in, and the other paper and color settings. but when i go to 
do a test page nothing comes out. do you have any suggestions or solutions.
