remote printer prints raw PCL

I use freebsd to print to the windows printer. As far as i know does
freebsd use lpd (berkeley line printer spooling system). 

i upgraded to apsfilter 7.2.5, but the printer still prints raw pcl.
i also tried to set IGNORE_LPD_RAW but still raw pcl comes out.

now i copied the testpage from the install into /tmp and used this one
to print with lpr and now this copy prints fine. so maybe the conversion
with gs does not work correct????

can i get a debug from the lp command to see how apsfilter&co. is being
called and what it does
