For example: which apsfilter version are you using (not everyone has a running slackware 8.1 beside him/her), as well as which lpd (i.e. bsd/lprng) and version? Another thing that might help us is to tell which driver you choose in the configuration. You could also post the content of your /etc/printcap, as well as a debug output of aps2file (look at the manpage of apsfile (1) for info on how to create it). For your printer model, the hpijs driver might work well, by the way. http://hpinkjet.sourceforge.net/ Really, the info in your mail is way too much "it just doesn't work" and not enough "here are the details of my problem/configuration". ;-) Remember people on this mailing list are all volunteers and/or users like you and me, who have dayjobs and do not necessarily always have the time to read/answer all the posts as soon as they fly in. -- Camille
