| Apple LaserWriter NT with apsfilter |
Dear Help, I'm trying to use an Apple LaserWriter NT with my PS/2 9577 print server. An Apple LaserWriter is either an AppleTalk printer or a serial printer. I'm using it as a serial printer. It only support PostScript Level 1, so I added the following line to "apsfilterrc" GS_FEATURES '-dLanguageLevel=1' The characteristics of the printer are: Data Transfer Rate: 9600 Parity Check No Number of Data bits std Stop bits 1 Handshake XON Mode: PostScipt Batch Mode. I run "/usr/share/apsfilter/SETUP" and install "PSgs" as my filter I select the interface as: /dev/ttyS0 I select software hand shaking I select Data Word length as 8 I select no parity I select stop bit as 1 When I specify the printing of a Test page, I get nothing. Is it obvious that I am making a basic mistake? Thanks and Best Regards, Brian McHugh
