Yep, as I wrote it's the `driver/ijs/DESKJET_920' script.

It would be interesting to use the HiRes mode:
`Quality:Quality=3'

This one (besides "Best Color" mode) is new in hpijs 1.3.x
and allows up to 1200x1200 dpi.

I doubt that _your_ GS_FEATURES yield a resolution of 1200x1200 dpi.
According to the hpijs 1.3.x doc. `Quality:Quality=2' yields a maximum resolution of 600x600 dpi.

No, the "driver" script should be correctly mapped according to `driver/MAPPING'.

I think there is something wrong in the rest of your setup.
If you print the test page from apsfilter's SETUP you can verify if all options are correct.
