Actually, you've got the hard part out of the way - figuring out the parameters that matter and the values that work. I ran into a similar issue a few months back with my HP OfficeJet 1170C, which is mapped by apsfilter to a DJ 810. Turns out that a more apt mapping is the DJ 890; but not knowing that at the time, I simply made a copy of the DJ 810 script, renamed it and changed the filter call to call the new copy, and substituted the more fitting values into the case statements in my "new" script. Worked like a charm, until I found out that I could achieve the same effect by configuring the DJ 890 "driver" instead of accepting the DJ 810 substitution. And - your English is not nearly as subterranean as you make it to be! jbh
